like a torrent
of churning emotion,
drowning my heart with aching pain.
years of hurt and yearning
of disapointment and betrayal
loss and uncontrolled circumstance.
My strength does ebb away
like a rushing tide
flowing into the stream
of time and memory
and i drift, in the waters edge
letting time slowly go by.
Waiting for my strength to recover
for my hurt to disapate
waiting for my lover
to help me to grow strong
to cope and to live life again.
While my heart heals
this pain will be forgotten
the memories will vanish
into the recesses of my mind
my spirit will soar and i will be free
