Drifting Dreams

Drifting into blissful sleep,
Slipping into dreams
Darkness, enfolding, comforting arms,
As Im floating through the scenes.

Falling further into sleep,
Heartbeat slowing down,
Breathing softly, whispered sighs,
Consciousness, unfound.

Feeling comfort, feeling safe,
No worries or disdain,
Darkness caresses, soothes my soul,
Heals my dieing pain.

Blissful darkness,
Calming sighs,
Drift away, as my pain dies.
Floating on a spirit plane,
Forgetting memories cries.
Reality, the hurtful truth,
Tears falling from my eyes,
Bitter memories still linger,
As this body dies.
No longer wanting, pain to grow,
Not caring to remain,
Im drifting on a tide of sorrow,
Swimming gainst the grain.
Let my heart slow down,
Let my lifeblood flow,
Exhaling tortured breathes,
Let my sorrow go.

Blissful darkness,
Calming sighs,
Drift away, as my pain dies.

Forgetting memories cries.
Darkness calls, its welcoming song,
Beckons me to follow,
